The being now known as the sorcerer and pub owner Samuel Ellemere is in fact a very old Welsh dragon--THE Welsh dragon, in fact, as those islands used to be his range. Nicknaming himself "draco domesticus", he's a fairly unassuming fellow, spending a good deal of his time in human form puttering about either in his pub or in his magical library. He's a personable being, quick to involve himself in whatever social goings-on are about, and has been caught both singing filk and baking cookies without the aid of an oven.

He runs Etrigan's Bar, which is ostensibly in Berkeley but sees travelers from all over the multiverse. Named for its reclusive master brewer, who has been a friend of Sam's since, well, before he left his range, Etrigan's is one of those places where weirdness and hilarity abounds. That's probably Sam's fault, but don't think you can get him to apologize for it.

In Sam's native world, supernatural beings are almost extinct; rumor has it that Ellemere has several of the remaining beings under his protection, although where he keeps them is unclear.

Ellemere is open about being a magician, around magicians and those friendly to them; he's quite a bit more secretive about being a dragon, as he is the last one in his world that he knows about. His identity is protected magically as well as by his tendency to hide his true nature.
